Clippers rally past Thunder, Bulls beaten
The Los Angeles Clippers produced an incredible fourth-quarter rally to edge the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA on Wednesday.
The Clippers went on a 26-5 run to finish the game at the Staples Center and secure an unlikely 103-98 victory.
Kevin Durant (30 points and 11 rebounds) and Russell Westbrook (24 points and 12 assists) led the Thunder, who held a 93-77 advantage with under eight minutes remaining.
But turnovers and poor shooting cost them as the Clippers fought back, with Chris Paul (21 points and 13 assists) and DeAndre Jordan (20 points and 18 rebounds) leading the way.
The Chicago Bulls slumped to their fourth consecutive defeat, going down to the Orlando Magic 102-89.
Nikola Vucevic had 24 points, Mario Hezonja finished with 21 and Aaron Gordon completed a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Derrick Rose top-scored for the Bulls with 16 points.
The San Antonio Spurs clinched their place in the post-season with a 97-81 win over the Detroit Pistons.
Kawhi Leonard (27 points) and LaMarcus Aldridge (23) led the Spurs as they improved to 51-9.
James Harden starred for the Houston Rockets, who claimed a 100-95 win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Harden finished with 39 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists to see the Rockets to victory.
The Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics continued their fine recent form at home.
The Raptors made it 11 straight home wins by overcoming the Utah Jazz 104-94, while the Celtics’ run is at 12 after a 116-93 triumph against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Washington Wizards extended their winning run to four with a 104-98 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
A 24-point haul from Mike Conley helped the Memphis Grizzlies past the Sacramento Kings 104-98 and the Charlotte Hornets thrashed the Philadelphia 76ers 119-99.
The Denver Nuggets rallied past the Los Angeles Lakers 117-107 and the Indiana Pacers edged the Milwaukee Bucks 104-99.
