Akanni Urges NFF To Put House In Order
Ex-international Waidi Akanni has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to put its house in order and ensure that teams representing the country at international competitions prepare well.
Akanni gave the advice in an interview with the journalist in Lagos on Monday.
He also called on football stakeholders in the country to, as a matter of urgency, close ranks and address the lingering crisis in the football governing body.
“It will definitely have a negative effect if the house is not properly put into order.
“And that’s why every football stakeholder needs to get involved so that the problem we’ve had in the last two years that is still existing will not derail the preparation and the work these young boys will need to do for Nigeria.
“And of course the ladies as well; they just qualified and we will need stability in the administration, before any meaningful results can be gotten from the preparations.’’
Akanni, who was a member of the Flying Eagles squad that won bronze medal at the Moscow1985 U-20 World Cup, urged the handlers of the country’s male and female Olympic football teams to focus on their jobs.
