CAF Champions League - Enyimba and Warri Wolves get opponents
The two Nigerian representatives in the CAF Champions League competition, Enyimba of Aba and Warri Wolves, have been handed the lottery of playing home leg first after the draw ceremony held yesterday in Cairo, Egypt.
Two-time champions, Enyimba will host Vital ‘O of Burundi while Warri Wolves will also play host to El-Meriekh of Sudan in the first round of the competition in the weekend of March 11th-13th 2016.
In other fixtures according to CAF online.com, five-time champions TP Mazembe will begin its defence with a trip to Saint George of Ethiopia.
Mazembe, who this month annexed a third CAF Super Cup, is one of several top clubs who drew bye in the preliminary round of the competition.
Others included Egypt’s Al Ahly, Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia, Algeria’s ES Setif as well as Sudan giants Al Hilal and Al Merreikh.
