Here’s a comprehensive rundown of the 33 Blues who are out on loan this season.
1. Nathan Ake

Prospects of making it: Highly rated, his contract runs until 2020 and he will fancy his chances of staying at Chelsea next season if he succeeds at Watford.
2.Bekanty Victorien Angban
Club: Sint-Truidense (Belgium) Nationality: Ivorian Age: 18 Market Value: N/A
Prospects of making it: An attacking midfielder with international experience at Under 20 and Under 17 level, he is a long way from playing for the Chelsea first team.
3.Christian Atsu
Club: Bournemouth Nationality: Ghanaian Age: 23 Market Value: £3.5m
Prospects of making it: Arrived with a considerable reputation from Porto in 2013 but flopped on loan at Everton last season. Unlikely to become a Blues star.
Prospects of making it: After loan spells at MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday, Baker is now trying his luck in the Eredivisie. Contracted until 2019 and young enough to harbour hopes of stepping up if he succeeds abroad.
5.Patrick Bamford

Prospects of making it: Fantastic on loan at Middlesbrough last season, he is experiencing topflight action at Palace this season. Still unlikely to cut it under Jose Mourinho though.
6.Jeremie Boga

Prospects of making it: With Chelsea from a young age, he has represented France up to Under 19 level. A skilful attacking midfielder, he has a good chance to extend his deal beyond 2017, when it currently expires.
7.Isaiah Brown

Prospects of making it: An exciting prospect, Brown was captain as the Blues won the UEFA Youth League this year, scoring twice in the final. Only 18, he is one of the most likely loanees to become a Chelsea regular.
8.Nathaniel Chalobah

Prospects of making it: A series of Championship loan spells have seen Chalobah’s reputation steadily improve. If he succeeds at Napoli, he’ll have a great chance of playing under Mourinho next year.

Prospects of making it: A promising defender, Christensen will take on Manchester City, Juventus and Sevilla in the Champions League this year. A good long-term prospect for the Blues.
Prospects of making it: The biggest name out on loan, Cuadrado is a proven internationalperformer. Failed to impress in his six months since joining Fiorentina, a good year with the Italian champions could see him return.

Prospects of making it: A Chilean youth star, he has failed to flourish in loan stints in Holland and his home country. Likely to be sold on before his contract ends in 2018.
12.Alex Davey

Prospects of making it: In League One until January, the defender spent much of last season at Scunthorpe. Contract expires next summer and unlikely to stay on.
13.Ulises Davila
Club: Vitoria (Portugal) Nationality: Mexican Age: 24 Market Value: £525,000
Prospects of making it: Became a key man for Vitoria on loan last season and has stayed on again, but lacks the quality to be a Chelsea regular. Expect to be sold next summer.
14.Matej Delac

Prospects of making it: Still young for a goalkeeper, Delac will hope to cut it at the top level, but that’s unlikely to be at Chelsea with Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begovic far from the end of their careers.

Prospects of making it: The Somalian-born Scotsman previously played for Celtic. Smally and pacy, he has starred for Scotland’s youth side but it will be a big ask for him to progress at Chelsea.
Prospects of making it: A deadline day arrival from Reading, he was immediately loaned back there. An international star for Jamaica, but likely to be sold on for a profit.

Prospects of making it: With the club since Under 8 level, Houghton has potential and has represented England Under 20s. A defensive midfielder, he has the potential to improve and make the grade.
18.Tomas Kalas

Prospects of making it: After loan spells in Holland and Germany, Kalas did well at Boro last season and will hope to kick on this year. Still more likely to be sold for profit than oust Kurt Zouma or Gary Cahill from the first team though.
19.Todd Kane

Prospects of making it: A serial loan star, Kane has gone abroad for the first time after spells at Nottingham Forest, Bristol City, Blackburn and Preston. With the club since he was seven, he has potential but is unlikely to be Chelsea quality.

Prospects of making it: Expected to figure in the Chelsea team when signed from Werder Bremen in 2012, Marin failed to shine and it’s surprising he is still on the club’s books. Will almost certainly leave next year.

Prospects of making it: Flopped at Liverpool, shone at Stoke and now at West Ham. Signed a new deal until 2019 before he was sent on his latest loan mission but still more likely to be sold than to stay on next year.
Prospects of making it: There are high hopes for this attacking midfielder who signed from Atletico Paranaense this summer. Expected to impress in Holland and return to west London next year.
23. Kenneth Omeruo
Club: Kasimpasa (Turkey) Nationality: Nigerian Age: 21 Market Value: £700,000
Prospects of making it: A tall, fast centre-back, you would think Mourinho would have kept him at Stamford Bridge this season if he felt he could make the grade. Has previously played on loan in Holland and the Championship.
24.Danilo Pantic

Prospects of making it: An arrival from Partizan Belgrade this year, the midfield star is highly rated and has every chance of becoming a future regular.
25.Mario Pasalic

Prospects of making it: Used as a makeweight in the deal that brought Radamel Falcao to Chelsea, Pasalic is a useful midfielder who can harbour realistic hopes of making it in the Premier League if he succeeds in Ligue 1 this year.

Prospects of making it: Spent last year on loan at AC Milan. A solid midfielder, a good season at Stoke could yet see him given a chance in west London.

Prospects of making it: After spells at Inter Milan and Vitesse, the exciting full-back has the talent to succeed with Serie A new boys Carpi and return to challenge Branislav Ivanovic next season.
33. Cristian Manea
Club: Mouscron (Belgium) Nationality: Romania Age: 18 Market Value £2.3m
Prospect of making it: Chelsea fancied the 18-year-old Romanian starlet’s work at Viitorul Constanța, the club he went through the youth ranks until making the senior team on a regular basis in 2014-15. Manea, a zippy right back, has played at every age level for his country and won his first full senior international cap with just five club games to his name. If he continues with his development Chelsea faithfuls might soon see the young Romanian running the full back for Chelsea.
