A weekend of bland draws and also eye-popping goals across the nation adorned the Glo Premier League with 6 rounds to go. Here is a review;
DOLPHINS 0-0 FC IFEANYIUBAH
The Pride of Rivers were unable to find their way past a stubborn Anambra Warriors side at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday and they have added to their relegation woes by their failure to claim maximum points.
Dolphins lost by the odd goal when both sides clashed in June this year but they were unable to exert revenge over the John Obuh tutored side who said before the encounter that his boys would pick a point in Port Harcourt if the atmosphere was right.
Dolphins are 17th on the log with 35 points from 32 games while FC IfeanyiUbah are 11th on the table with 44 points from 32 matches.
EL KANEMI WARRIORS 2-0 SHARKS
The Borno Army thrashed the Blue Angels in Katsina on Sunday to move closer to cementing another season in the topflight. They are in their third season in the NPFL after they returned in 2013 after some time in the lower division.
El Kanemi have 43 points from 32 matches and they are 13th on the log while Sharks are 16th on the log with 36 points from 32 games.
WIKKI TOURISTS 1-0 FC TARABA
The Bauchi side have added to the misery of the relegation haunted FC Taraba after they pipped them 1-0 on Sunday in a very tough league encounter played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
The win has taken Wikki to third on the league table after they displaced Sunshine Stars to fourth. They have 54 points from 32 matches while FC Taraba’s hope of staying in the topflight for another is hanging by the thread. They are 19th on the log with 30 points from 32 games and have not won a game in the last three matches.
HEARTLAND 2-1 ENYIMBA
The Naze Millionaires played their best game of the season so far at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday where they beat league leaders, Enyimba 2-1 in a highly charged Oriental Derby encounter.
Heartland scored first through Fortune Omoniwari who netted in the 40th minute through a fine free kick but Enyimba leveled on the stroke of half time when Markson Ojobo scored from the penalty spot. Centre referee Benjamin Odey from FCT had spotted an infringement in the 18 yard box.
Before then, Enyimba had lost one of their defenders, Ifeanyi Anaemena to red card after he received his second yellow card of the tie off a bad tackle on an Heartland player.
Heartland scored a second goal in the 65th minute through Emeka Ogbugh who danced past two Enyimba defenders before unleashing a terrific angular shot that left Chijioke Ejiogu in goal for the People’s Elephant stranded.
The Owerri side are seventh on the log with 47 points from 32 games while Enyimba’s five point lead at the top has been cut to just three as they are on 58 points from 32 games.
3SC 0-0 BAYELSA UNITED
The Oluyole Warriors failed to pick maximum points at home for the first time under head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote after they were repelled by the Restoration Boys at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Sunday.
3SC are still however in the top 10 despite the setback as they are 10th on the log with 46 points from 32 games while Bayelsa United have added a point to their haul on the table. They are last on the log with 30 points from 32 matches.
NASARAWA UNITED 1-0 LOBI STARS

Nasarawa United retained their sixth spot on the log with 49 points from 32 games while Lobi are on 37 points from 32 matches. They are 14th on the log and are only two points off drop zone.
KWARA UNITED 2-1 AKWA UNITED
The Harmony Warriors were handed their first win from six matches after they narrowly beat the promise Keepers 2-1 at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin on Sunday.
Sheriff Jimoh gave the Ilorim fans something to cheer about with the opening goal in the 38th minute before Dare Ojo added the second in the 64th minute from the spot kick. He later lost the second penalty kick awarded his side after Akwa United had reduced the goal arrears in the 65th through Aniekpeno Udoh.
Kwara United are still 18th on the log with 35 points from 32 matches while Akwa United are 15th on the table with 37 points from 32 matches.

WARRI WOLVES 3-0 SUNSHINE STARS
The Akure Gunners were blown off 3-0 at the Warri Township Stadium through the strike of Gbolahan Salami who singlehandedly slaughtered his former club on Saturday with the three goals that lifted his club over Sunshine on the league table.
Warri Wolves are now second on the log with 55 points from 32 games while Sunshine slipped to fourth on the table with 53 points from 32 ties.
GIWA 0-0 KANO PILLARS
The Jos Elephant were held to a goalless draw at the Rwang Pam Stadium by desperate Sai Masu Gida who are eager to finish to the season within continental slot.
The draw was a big blow to Giwa FC’s quest to qualify for the continent at the end of the season after they had drawn in Nnewi against FC IfeanyiUbah the upper weekend.
They are fifth on the log with 51 points from 32 games and with another home game this weekend against Dolphins they will fancy their chances of re-launching themselves to the top three.
Pillars who may not retain their league title this season after ruling over the domestic league scene for the past three seasons, are ninth on the log with 46 points from 32 matches. They are 12 points off the league leaders, Enyimba.
