Rio 2016, Eguavoen makes case for Ighalo and Mikel for overage spots
The duo of Odion Ighalo and Mikel Obi deserve a place in Nigeria’s Rio 2016 Olympic Men’s football Tournament according to former Coach, Austin Eguavoen.
Current handler of the team, Samson Siasia is yet to announce the name of overage players for the Country’s seventh appearance at the games but making a case for Ighalo, Eguavoen said the 26-year-old possessed the singular quality to help a team win games.
He described the Watford FC forward as a power player with the requisite physical attributes to succeed at the games and because Nigeria needs him to be there.
Nigeria plays in Group B along side Japan, Sweden and Colombia.
