LeBron leads Cavs to 2-0 lead over Raptors

LeBron James was on form once again to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 108-89 win over the Toronto Raptors in game two of the Eastern Conference finals series.

The James-inspired Cavaliers crushed the Raptors by 31 points in the NBA play-off series opener and it was no different on Thursday as the Cleveland franchise took a 2-0 lead.

James stamped his authority on proceedings early on and finished with a triple-double, posting 23 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds.

The four-time NBA MVP moved the ball with precision as he helped the Cavaliers edge a tight first quarter to take a two-point lead before his side moved well clear in the second period.

Toronto fell a further 12 points behind to a 14-point deficit at half-time and struggled to claw back that deficit despite an improved performance in the second half.

DeMar DeRozan stood tall for the Raptors, bucketing 22 points, but his efforts were not enough.

James’ all-round performance made him the stand out but Kyrie Irving’s shooting was another impressive string to the Cavs’ bow as he top-scored for the game with 26 points, while Kevin Love chipped in with 19.

The series moves to Toronto for game three on Saturday.
