Curry shrugs off ´tennis ball´ lump

Stephen Curry helped Golden State Warriors to a 118-91 victory over Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA play-offs on Wednesday, despite playing much of the game with a lump the size of a tennis ball on his elbow.

Curry scored 15 of his 28 points in less than two minutes during a frenetic third quarter to help his team draw level at 1-1 in their Western Conference finals series, having picked up the distinctive problem on his shooting arm when he dove into the stands for a loose ball during the first quarter at Oracle Arena.

Warriors fans will be relieved to learn the two-time and reigning MVP does not believe the issue is serious ahead of Game Three in Oklahoma City on Sunday.

“The elbow is fine,” he said.

“It looks like it has a tennis ball on top of it. It doesn’t affect range of motion.”

Cleveland Cavaliers are leading their Eastern Conference finals series against Toronto Raptors 1-0 ahead of Game 2 on Thursday, with the winners to face Warriors or Thunder in the NBA Finals
